About Pride Path Wellness

I founded Pride Path Wellness on the belief that all people deserve to be seen and supported as they make their way through this world. That we all deserve to live a life that we can take pride in. I aim to create space for those of us who have felt excluded by shame or stigma, where we can find acceptance, joy, and healing.

On this journey of discovering how to live a life that is authentically ours, sometimes we get stuck. We worry that we’ve lost the way, that the destination we aim for is beyond reach, or we feel alone. You don’t have to walk this path alone. I work collaboratively with clients whose journeys have been interrupted by depression, anxiety and panic, trauma, substance use, and more to find a new path forward. I believe that there is room for hope in the moments that feel most difficult, and that's where I'll meet you to set aside the shame or judgement that has been imposed on you by the rest of the world, and talk about what really matters.

You’re searching for the opportunity to look at the narrative of your life in new ways - to redefine the story. Supporting you in this endeavor, I can offer curious and interesting questions alongside the tools and skills you need to build a meaningful future. I embrace transparency and authenticity in my practice. I was drawn to this work as I watched people close to me struggle to find a place where they felt seen or heard for who they were, and I still approach this work as a humble witness joining you in your journey to wellness.

Specialties

Therapists each approach their work with a unique set of perspectives, ideologies, and experiences, which have led them to various areas of specialization. I've listed below the experiences I have the most experience supporting people through, but this list is not exhaustive. If you're curious if I might be the right therapist for you, please reach out!

With everyone who crosses my path, but especially those who are struggling with substance use, I approach our work through a lens of harm reduction and benefit maximization. I believe that abstinence is one of many healthy ways to relate to substances and do not push a personal agenda beyond your ongoing safety, which we will collaboratively define in the context of your life and preferences. Similarly, while mental health care has advanced significantly over the years and there now exist a plethora of good treatment options, it's possible that not all of those options will work for you. I trust your expertise of your own life, and will work with you to find the path we both feel confident following.

ABOUT

About Me

Born in Maryland and raised in Vermont, I now call the Rocky Mountains home. I live in Denver with my husband and two cats, Nyx and Soka. When I'm not working, you can find me hiking trails throughout this beautiful state or experimenting with photography - one of my lifelong hobbies.

EXPERIENCE

Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to support communities that experience stigma and marginalization, including folks living with HIV, survivors of interpersonal violence and sexual assault, and the LGBTQ+ community. I have worked in a variety of settings, ranging from facilitating Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization groups in natural settings for those stepping down from inpatient care, to providing integrated behavioral health services in a large clinic, to the work that has become my passion - providing individual therapy.
